Years ago baby bottles were only made of 100% glass, but glass is thicker, so it weighs more and it's more dangerous for the simple fact that it breaks. So when plastic bottles came along that were lighter and shatter-proof, the glass bottle became almost obsolete.
The scary part is, after the switch of baby bottles in most households around the word, reports show that a type of plastic found in baby bottles might cause potentially harmful changes in developing babies.
